FINE LINE FEATURES COLLECTS SIX OSCAR NOMINATIONS

Vera Drake, The Sea Inside, Maria Full Of Grace Honored

LOS ANGELES (Jan. 25, 2005) – Fine Line Features, a subsidiary of New Line Cinema, received six Academy Award nominations this morning including recognition in such major categories as Best Director, Best Actress and Best Foreign Language Film.

The drama Vera Drake led the way with three nominations including Best Director and Best Original Screenplay nominations for Mike Leigh and a Best Actress nomination for star Imelda Staunton.

Catalina Sandeno Moreno, who stars in Maria Full of Grace (produced in association with HBO Films), also received a nomination for Best Actress. The Alejandro Amenabar-directed The Sea Inside was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film and Best Makeup.
