GREG FORSTON JOINS FINE LINE FEATURES AS SENIOR VP DISTRIBUTION

LOS ANGELES (Jan. 18, 2005) – Fine Line Features has hired veteran distribution executive Greg Forston to serve as the company’s new Senior VP of Distribution.

In his new position, Forston will be responsible for the release pattern and distribution of Fine Line Films. He will be based in Fine Line’s New York offices and will report to New Line Cinema’s President of Distribution David Tuckerman.

Forston joins Fine Line from IFC Films, where he served as VP of Sales since Nov. 2000. At IFC Films, Forston oversaw the national sales strategy for all films, including My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Memento, Business of Strangers, and Y Tu Mama Tambien, among others.

Prior to his time at IFC, Forston worked as head of theatrical distribution and marketing for Palm Pictures/Manga Entertainment. While there, he was responsible for such films as Marc Singer’s Independent Spirit Award-nominee Dark Days; Jonathan Demme’s Academy Award-nominated feature-length documentary Mandela; the animated cult favorite Ghost in the Shell, the Oliver Stone presented Gravesend, and the quirky, action film Six String Samurai.

Forston has also worked in the music business for Chameleon Records as Promotions and Marketing Director and as a Regional Promotion and Marketing Manager for I.R.S. Records.
