The Year of the Yao, a documentary chronicling the story of Chinese basketball phenomenon and Houston Rockets center Yao Ming, recently screened at the Toronto Film Festival.

The Year of the Yao follows the 7’6” Ming during his first year in the NBA and reveals how he coped with the pressures of being a rookie while knowing that he represented the hopes of 1.2 billion people in his homeland. It was produced by Endgame Entertainment and NBA Entertainment.
