Lili Taylor has achieved remarkable success, recognition and praise for her wide range of talent along with her diverse selection of roles on the screen.
Working virtually non-stop, Taylor's 1997 releases alone include the blockbuster hit,
Ransom with Mel Gibson, Nick Gomez's Illtown and HBO's "Subway Stories" which featured the actors in a vignette filmed around the subways of New York City.
In 1995, Taylor dominated the Sundance Film Festival with her critically acclaimed roles in Mary Harron's I Shot Andy Warhol, Cold Fever, and Girls Town, which she also co-wrote. For her outstanding work in these films, Taylor was awarded the first-ever Sundance Special Grand Jury Prize for Acting.
Taylor made her screen debut in the sleeper hit, Mystic Pizza which she followed with roles in Say Anything, Bright Angel, Short Cuts, Rudy, Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle, Ready To Wear, Dogfight, Four Rooms, Born on the Fourth of July, and Household Saints, for which she was honored with the prestigious Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Actress. Upcoming releases include Stanley Tucci's Ship of Fools.
