
JIM WILSON -- (Director/Producer)
Jim Wilson partnered with Kevin Costner in 1988 to form Tig Productions, Inc; and in 1990 they produced the epic DANCES WITH WOLVES, winner of seven Academy Awards, in which Costner both starred and directed. Wilson produced, with Lawrence Kasdan, 1993's blockbuster THE BODYGUARD, and WYATT EARP. Most recently, he served as executive producer of the eight-hour documentary mini-series 500 NATIONS for CBS, which follows the epic stuggles of native American Indian nations from creation to the current day.Wilson graduated from Antioch College and the Berkley Film Institute, after which he founded American Twist Productions where he produced and directed numerous short films for clients such as the U.S. Tennis Association, Congoleum, Volvo, the Robert F. Kennedy Foundation and Kodak. Wilson's feature film directorial debut was 1983's STACY'S KNIGHTS, which was written by Micheal Blake and stared Kevin Costner in his first leading role. In 1985 he directed THE MOVIE MAKER and in 1988 was the associate producer on the Costner starrer REVENGE. Wilson currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.
JOHN M. JACOBSEN -- (Producer)
John Jacobsen is a native of Norway where he is the current head of Filmkameratene, the country's leading film and television distribution company. Jacobsen has been working in the Norwegian film industry since he was 15, where he began by booking films into a small neighborhood theater. He produced his first film in 1983 and has since completed eight films including PATHFINDER, which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Film, and the family adventure SHIPWRECKED which was made for the Walt Disney Company.HELEN POLLAK -- (Co-Producer/UPM)
Hellen Pollak was born in Poland and raised in New York, she studied law and criminology at Lenham College in New York before going into commercial production, first working in wardrobe and then as a producer. She began her film career as a director's assistant working on TATTOO, THE CHOSEN, and GHOST STORY and quickly rose up through the ranks to become unit production manager on such films as MISS CRACKER, THE DOORS, OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY, NORTH, THE BODYGUARD and most recently CITY HALL. HEAD ABOVE WATER marks Pollak's first film with a co-producer credit. She lives in Los Angeles.THERESA MARIE -- (Screenplay)
Theresa Marie is an internationally renowned writer whose versatility and easy adaptibility allow her to produce a diverse range of work. The result of her developing interest in black comedy has been HEAD ABOVE WATER, a racey comic thriller with a twist. Theresa Marie currently lives on the outskirts of Paris.RICHARD BOWEN, A.S.C. Richard Bowen shot FAIR GAME starring William Baldwin and Cindy Crawford. Other credits include MAJOR PAYNE, THE LITTLE RASCALS, PURE COUNTRY and ARTICLE 99. Bowen has shot two films for his wife director Jenny Bowen - STREET MUSIC (co-winner, Best Film at Sundance Film Festival) and the Sundance-sponsored THE WIZARD OF LONELINESS. Other credits include STACKING and the highly-awarded BELIZAIRE THE CAJUN.Bowen shot second unit on WYATT EARP and HAVANA and won an ACE nomination for Best Cinematography for HBO's TALES FROM THE CRYPT pilot. He, his wife and two children, currently reside in Los Angeles.
JEFFREY BEECROFT -- Production Designer
Jeffrey Beecroft's feature credits include DANCES WITH WOLVES, for which he received an Academy Award nomination, THE BODYGUARD, STOP MAKING SENSE, PONTIAC MOON, THE WIZARD OF LONELINESS, THREE SISTERS and CYRANO DE BERGERAC. He most recently completed the production design on Terry Gilliam's 12 MONKEYS.Beecroft also received Tony nominations for his designs for the Royal Shakespeare Company's Broadway production of MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING and CYRANO DE BERGERAC. He has worked extensively for most major theater companies in England and on Broadway. In 1994 he won the New York Museum of Modern Art's "Designer of the Year" Award.
He received a Masters Degree in Fine Arts from New York University and a teaching fellowship at Oxford. He presently lives in Los Angeles.
COLLEEN ATWOOD -- (Costume Designer)
Colleen Atwood was nominated for an Academy Award for her work on LITTLE WOMEN. She also received two nominations from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts for LITTLE WOMEN and EDWARD SCISSORHANDS. Atwood's feature credits include THE JUROR, WYATT EARP, ED WOOD, PHILADELPHIA, THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS, MARRIED TO THE MOB, TORCH SONG TRILOGY and MANHUNTER among others.MICHAEL R. Michael R. Miller came up through the ranks as an assistant editor working with Susan Morse and Woody Allen on MANHATTAN and STARDUST MEMORIES, and with Thelma Schoonemaker and Martin Scorsese on RAGING BULL. He has also worked extensively with Joel and Ethan Coen as a sound editor on BLOOD SIMPLE and editor on RAISING ARIZONA and MILLER'S CROSSING.Miller most recently edited BOYS ON THE SIDE. His other cutting credits include MEDICINE MAN, PATTY HEARST, WITH HONORS, SWING KIDS, MR DESTINY and D.O.A. He is a graduate of Cornell University and resides in Los Angeles.
